19 teams in action

19 teams played, possibly for the last time in at least a month. Until we find out for certain if grassroots football is postponed, here's a rundown on how everyone got on.

5 games at Gynsill Lane including three at 10:30. Two of those were friendlies as the U8 Foxes scored some good goals against Heather while the U11 Foxes also played well, especially in the second half, against Kegworth. The U13 Hawks welcomed East Goscote and the two sides played out a 3-3 draw, a fair result in what was an even contest.

At 12:30 the U8 Hawks also had a close game in their friendly with Belton Villa, while the U15 Hawks gave their best performance of the season against Royce Rangers, losing 6-1 but the scoreline isn't a fair reflection of the game compared to how the Hawks played.

At our other home grounds the U10 Foxes played familiar opposition in Kirby as they had another close game with them for the third time already this season. The U12 Hawks lost their unbeaten record for the season as they lost 5-2 to Loughborough. At County Hall the U17 Tigers scored a last-minute winner to beat Ratby 4-3.

Away from home the U9 Foxes recovered from a slow start to get a positive result against Studs, while the U9 Hawks gave a great first half performance against a very strong Dunton & Broughton side.

The U11 Hawks gave a spirited display away to Asfordby, playing the whole game with one player less. The U12 Foxes drew 3-3 away to East Goscote while the U12 Lions gave an improved performance from last week against the same opposition in Desford, losing 5-2.

The U13 Lions were 1-0 winners away at Quorn while the U14 Foxes secured a 3-2 away victory at Castle Donnington. The U15 Foxes gave one of their best performances of the season, hitting the woodwork three times but lost 2-0 away to Oadby. The U16's lost 5-1 at Houghton and the U18's lost 6-3 at Fleckney. The seniors maintained their unbeaten record as a late equaliser saw them draw 3-3 to Atletico Magna.
