20 teams in action

20 GUFC teams were in action across the county. Here's how they all got on.

At Glenfield Sports Ground, the U7's scored some good goals in a high-scoring game against Asfordby, the U8 Foxes were narrowly edged out in an exciting game against Harborough Town and the U9 Foxes put in a spirited performance against Croft.

The U13 Hawks put in a superb team performance as they beat GNG Lions 2-1 while the U14 Foxes were nearly made to sweat for their win but ran out 6-2 winners against Bardon Hill. The U15 Foxes went top of their division in midweek but lost 3-1 to Loughborough this afternoon.

At South Charnwood the U11 Foxes put in their best performance since lockdown and earned a 2-2 draw with AFC Andrews, while the U12 Lions narrowly lost 3-2 to Barwell.

Beaumont Leys School saw our seniors win 3-2 against United Revolution for their first victory since lockdown. The U16's narrowly lost by the same scoreline, nearly salvaging a draw from 3-0 down and the U17's lost 3-0 to Narborough but put in a better performance than the scoreline might suggest.

Away from home the U8 Hawks had a close game at Harborough, as did the U9 Hawks in their friendly at Whetstone. The U10's continued their good form at Glen Villa, while the U11 Hawks lost 5-3 at Barwell but the U11 Vixens got a positive result in a close game at Coalville.

The U12 Hawks are through to the next round of the League Cup after beating higher division opposition Sileby 4-3. The U13 Lions lost 3-0 at Dunton & Broughton and the U14 Hawks lost 6-2 at Braunstone. The U15 Hawks picked up their first point of the season in a drama filled 3-3 draw at Bardon Hill.
